How the Program Works

Program Structure

Each Registered Apprentice completes:

  • 144+ hours of classroom instruction annually
  • Documented On-the-Job Learning (OJL)
  • NCCER standardized curriculum
  • Competency-based skill progression
  • Supervised field experience

All training and credentials are tracked through the NCCER National Training Registry, ensuring national portability and industry-recognized credibility.

  • Governing and Licensing Agencies

Each partner upholds established standards including wage progression, classroom attendance, OJL documentation, and apprentice-to-journeyman ratios — ensuring quality training, workforce accountability, and long-term industry strength.
